So, I've been brushing up on my Esperanto recently. I actually wanted to review my German before I have to take a hiatus for my new job-career (!). I have a German book about Pu-Yi that I wanted to stumble through. Then, of course, I started casually reviewing Korean instead and became frustrated by the lack of free resources. In my aimless wanderings on Youtube I stumbled across a video tangentially related to Esperanto. And as is typical of my bunny trails, it all went downhill from there.
Esperanto is easy to pick up in the first place and I studied it briefly in middle school, so I've been cruising through my studies. I really want to write something in Esperanto. The word building aspect is just really exciting to me. However, it's completely overshadowing my own conlanging efforts. I have no intention of making another Esperanto. So. Hope y'all are well.
Lastatempe relernas mi mem Esperanton. Mi reale volas recenzi germanlingvon antaŭ devos foiri pro mia nova ekkariero (!).
Esperanto facilas lerni kaj mi mallonge dum mezlernejo studis, tiele rapide progresas mi. Mi multe volas skribi esperantan ion. Se vi ne rimarkis, mi ŝatas vortkonstruadon. Ĝi influas miajn planlingvojn. Mi ne volas ke ili identas al Esperanto. Do. Mi speras ke vi bone fartas.

Devious Journal Entry
I realized (way, way late) that I hadn't posted translations for Ube Aun and Ube Dasen... yeeeeeeeeeeeah. Well, here they are!
Concerning Dasen:
There are many gods in the world. A god exists for everything and so because there is so much water on the earth there are many gods of water. Most gods are angry and selfish. They enjoy meddling in the lives of humans. Water gods are known for their lack of pity and compassion. However, there is one water god who is very kind to humans, having been one himself. This is the god Dasen. Dasen is god of those who die at sea. He escorts them to Mor and Tohamolo*. Dasen was adopted by Aun. She found him

SEGUE!
I've decided to write an epic poem. Let that settle in. OK. I know, I know, I'm skeptical too. I'm writing it in Guhan. Still with me? Cool.
It's not really a spur of a moment thing. I've begun and scrapped this project a few times over the past year or so. I'm going to actually do it this time, slowly but surely. I've got the main character pretty set and the main conflicts are in stone.
I'm not really a writer. I hope it won't be deplorable.
So far I've gotten the initial part of the invocation finished. I don't hav
My Conlang Resources
Language Making:
The Language Construction Kit is the fledgling conlanger's Bible. It's also good refresher if you feel you've hit a road block.
If you've got a reasonably established lang but want to build lexicon, check out this Translation Exercises page. It provides links to several conlang-muscle flexing exercises.
Try out a a conlang phrasebook. (Download links are the in the 5th paragraph, down.)
Or fill out a Swadesh list.
Word Building:
Here's a syllable generator. It does a good job if you're feeling lazy or you aren't interested in creating etymology within your lexicon.
This random word generator is alright, but you have to

I studied Esperanto for a while. I had certain issues with the language (such as there being a feminine suffix but no masculine), which I later learned were fixed by Ido. I'd love to learn Ido now, but I don't have the time to.
Nowadays I'm interested in Chinese, but forcing myself to study Spanish instead, because it will be more useful to me on a day-to-day basis.
