Content: Basically a letter written by a girl away at school to her elder brother back home.
Word Count: 235

Translation (not word-for-word):

Dear big brother,

The view here in Barasabive is amazing. You really can see the end of the sky, but you would not believe the smell! The harbor is foul and the men roaming around- ew. The contrast between them and the boys back at school…well there is none, really. They are about the same. But a gentleman I met on the train was the most handsomest, politest man I should ever have the good fortune to meet. He too was taking the train out of the city and his seat was across the aisle from mine and Nibel’s. And he listened to me prattle on the whole ride.

I told you it was Nibel’s aunt’s house where we are going to be staying for the week, didn’t I? Or did I tell Mother? Well, if I told you, would you tell Mother? Because that means I forgot to. Or if I didn’t tell you, then I told her and well, now you know. OH! And guess who else I ran into! Your mother-in-law! Oh I can’t stand that woman, I truly can’t. She made the most awful expression when she laid eyes on me while I was fetching my baggage, like I was some foul street-dwelling animal.

But how are Netio and her baby? Doing well, I hope. Do help Father with the harvest, if you find the time. Ah, and tell Mother I’ll be home for Arur’s feast. I shouldn’t have much homework and Nibel’s going away to stay with her fiancé. I would be so bored alone at school. Well, I need to go. They’re calling for me. Nibel’s uncle said he’ll make us catch our dinner from the bay. I do hope he’s joking.

Have I mentioned how much I love your language? I love your language. The writing system, the recording you did (I need to do that sometime!), how it just melds together is all just wonderful! I can tell how much work you've put into it. I don't know if I've asked or not, but how long have you been working on it? It's interesting to see how far people have come, especially since conlanging seems to inherently take a long time.

I've been working on Guhan about 3 years, I think. Although an elusive dated-scrap-of-notes from the earliest draft (which is hardly even the same animal) is from 2006.
